This residential property had a large concrete entertaining area that was covered in mould and very slippery when wet.  The old concrete also had a lot of hairline cracks, unsightly stains and radiated a lot of heat by the end of a hot summer’s day. 

The customer wanted a durable not skid surface that was safe to walk on when wet and would stay cool on hot summers days.  Energy Star Sports Coat was the perfect solution.

The entire concrete surface was cleaned with high pressure water to remove mould and contaminants, sealed and primed with Astec Epitec Water based epoxy primer the coated with Energy Star Sports Coat Non-Skid Concrete Paint.

1- Applied one coat of Astec Epitec Water Based Two Pack Epoxy Primer to penetrate, bind and condition the existing surface ready for the application of the new Energy star heat reflective no skid paving paint.

2- Applied two coats of Energy Star Sports Coat.
